The four colours
Why there are four colours.
Every colour you see in print is made from just four inks, printed one over the other.
C
Cyan
Adds blues and greens. Each printing unit has its own plate, blanket and impression cylinder.
M
Magenta
Adds reds and pinks, printed exactly over the first two so the colours mix cleanly.
Y
Yellow
Finishes the colour. The sheets then dry and go on for cutting, binding or lamination.
